Travel Tips for Phuket

When bartering remember to work the price down by at least 30 to 40 %
As the weather is hot always take a back pack or similar with a water bottle holder
When riding in a Tuk Tuk (local taxi) please note that they don't have seat belts
Good buys are DVD's, t-shirts, polo shirts, luggage, hand bags and foot wear
Good pharmacies are available every two blocks in Phuket for basic daily medical needs such as cough drops etc
Food and drink is very cheap when dining at local restuarants, a drink and a main meal will set you back around $4.00
